The book read was: One Hundred Steps
Author: Captain Sir Tom Moore
Genre: Famous Lives
We found this book to be good interesting reading which did not take us long to read. It told us the story of Tom Moore who became famous in lockdown for raising millions from his walking to celebrate his 100th birthday.
We loved the pictures and the style it is written in – not too many words on each page –Gives background about his family and his inspiring life story. It also emphasises his saying “Tomorrow will be a good day” – and also gives us other words of wisdom, “It is never too late for one more adventure”. It also shows his fantastic 100th birthday celebration. Sad in parts, but it shows us that life goes on and gets better. Suitable for children 5+ if it is read to them – adults would also enjoy it.
We Loved It!

The book I read was: “Scarlett and Ivy”
Author: Sophie Cleverly
Genre: Adventure/Mystery
“Scarlett and Ivy” is a lovely book. It is very eye-catching. As soon as I had read the first paragraph I read on and on and on until the book was finished. If you like adventurous books like me then I would definitely recommend it.
I especially like how it ended on a cliff hanger; it made me want to get the next book in the series.
