Reception Smith had a visit from Mrs Glassock who shared with the class a tradition of the festive season and Mrs Dawson who spoke with the children about Hannuka and played a game of Dreidel with them all. They had a ‘snowball fight’ using old paper that was ready to be recycled and had a visit from Ms Barnard who shared with the class traditions about the holidays in South Africa. They also made melting snowman biscuits.
Reception Marks got very crafty making Christmas bags for all of their yummy treats and gifts as well as decorating salt dough tree ornaments. They had a go at the old tradition of Christingle, decorating their oranges with cloves and candles.
