On Tuesday Year 1 went to Barleylands farm on a trip to learn about the story of the Gingerbread man.
The children gathered around the table to learn about all the ingredients used to make gingerbread men, before making their own. They decorated the biscuits with buttons and smiley faces then laid them on the tray ready for the oven. Some of the biscuits turned into funny shapes but they definitely tasted delicious!
Next they enjoyed a tractor ride, then a picnic lunch before feeding the animals. The goats were so greedy!
It was a wonderful day out where the children learnt so much and had lots of fun.
