British Sign Language Assembly

On Wednesday the whole school took part in a British Sign Language Assembly. The assembly was led by three pupils who are members of the British Sign Language Club. Every week, the children learn lots of new words and different ways to communicate, and wanted to show what they have learned to their friends.

The assembly started with the children telling the school their names in sign, followed by the whole alphabet, with the rest of the children following along. After a few more phrases, the assembly finished with the girls signing the whole of the Bruno Mars song ‘You Can Count on Me’. There were a few teary eyed teachers in the audience after that!

British Sign Language is a great club, and a fantastic way to learn a new skill!
