Year one had a brilliant trip to the sea life centre. They saw lots of interesting animals, including big slippery eels who hid in the rocks, snakes of all colours and sizes, and butterflies in the walk-through enclosure allowing the children to get an up-close look at their beautiful patterns! The children loved watching the penguins being fed. Did you know a group of penguins in the water is called a raft but on land, they’re called a waddle!
After the excitement of the animals the children also had a chance to play on the beach, and despite the weather, had a brilliant time. The teachers were all very proud of how sensible they were and their much-improved listening skills.
