In their science unit, Year 2 pupils have been understanding what it takes for plants to grow well.
They decided to have a go at growing their own grass from seed. The children decorated their growing jars with the Queen’s face and gave her a crown around the rim of the jar. The grass then grew thick and tall out of the crown to look like Her Majesty’s hair! All of the children were very proud that they had managed to grow the grass and give it all of the different components it needed to thrive.
Yr4 pupils also did this on a larger scale in Science club last term. They look amazing!
