District Cricket Tournament Report

On Friday 17 June, Coopersale Hall School took part in the West Essex Schools’ Partnership Cricket Tournament held at the Loughton Cricket Club. The team got off to a wonderful start, winning their first two matches in the group stage of the competition. Then in the semi-final we came up against St Johns School, who were simply brilliant. We put up a really good fight, but unfortunately lost. Our last game was against Staples Road Primary School. This was an incredibly even game and with the last ball left to bowl, we needed four to win, unfortunately, it was not to be. We had played brilliantly throughout this game and it was hard to take the loss. So Coopersale Hall finished in a very respectable 4th place overall.

I would like to thank all of our cricketers for playing in such a fair and determined manner all day, you were a credit to our school. Thank you also to all of the parents who turned up to cheer them on.
