The Year 5 Tag Rugby Team were delighted to take part in the West Essex School Sports Partnership Tournament on Friday 25th November, at Davenant School in Loughton. It was lovely that so many schools within the area came together to enjoy mixed Tag Rugby.
The team from Coopersale Hall School were:
5G – Lewis, Jack, Gregor, Oscar, Sophie, Florence
5N – Donald, Emre, Poppy, Blaise
These are Poppy’s thoughts on the day:
“When we arrived, we enjoyed doing our warm-up and drill moves on the grass in the sunshine. We worked hard together to keep our formation and warming-up to catch the rugby ball.
The first game was tough, but we soldiered on even though we lost. We had masses of energy for the second game against Ivy Chimneys C which we lost by just 1 point! Our last game was against St Andrews’s B which we were thrilled to win especially as we felt they were one of the fastest teams in the tournament. We had a great day and really enjoyed the atmosphere and the experience of playing in a mixed tournament.”
