During a gymnastics lesson in P.E., Y5 were introduced to the alphabet game. They were put into 4 groups and had to listen for Mr Barham to call out a letter. The pupils then had to work together in their teams to construct the letter that was called out.
Pupils were then asked to work in pairs and try a variety of single and paired balances. The postures that they were working on helped to improve core strength, flexibility and ability to remain within a pose for an extended time.
We were very impressed with how the children worked together and listened to each other to achieve their desired letter and/or balance pose. Well done Y5!
