Year 3 took a trip back in time to WWII to see what life would have been like for the children who were evacuated to the countryside. The children look amazing in their costumes, complete with handmade gas mask boxes and teddies.
The old-fashioned double-decker bus came to collect the children from school, really giving them the opportunity to see what it would have felt like for the children of the war. After a fun ride to the Epping Ongar Railway, the children got to view the original signal boxes used for guiding the steam trains and marvel at the amazing restored trains.
It was a wonderful day out that both Year 3 and their teachers thoroughly enjoyed!
