Bee The Hero

World Bee Day was held on the 20th May and the children at Coopersale Hall were challenged to take part in the Bee Creative Challenge competition held by Chartwells and the Eco-Council who joined together to ask everyone to create an epic poster all about supporting and saving the bumble bees.

The children learnt about bees’ great importance in contributing to our eco-system. Inspire by the hard work bees do to pollinate the plants that give us food to eat and the children got to work on making informative and eye-catching posters.

The Eco-Council and Chef Vicky had a difficult time choosing from all of the wonderful entries, narrowing it down to the most creative from each class then selecting the winner.   This was proudly announced by Chef Vicky and Amelia in 6B, Head of Eco-Council, in our Friday Celebration Assembly.

A massive well done to everyone who took part and a special congratulations to Georgina in 5N for coming in first place! Her bee-themed prize of a t-shirt and pin badge will be on its way to her very soon.

A selection of the many fabulous entries have been displayed in the hall for everyone to enjoy.
