Records are made to be broken! This is definitely the principle that Mr Barham advocates when competing. The children from Year 3 to Year 6 recently ran the 400 meters. The fastest boy and girl in each year group have now become our first record holders. The winners will be receiving their medals and be applauded in the final whole school assembly of this academic year.
The benchmark that they have created this academic year will be the benchmark for the next up and coming year – and if they do beat it, they will be the new record holder and gain a medal to mark their achievement.
Mr Barham was really pleased to see how the children had worked to their best and ran right up to the line! He is looking forward to seeing how long these records will stand. The children have really grown in their attitude towards competition and it was great to see the camaraderie between pupils.
