Year 6 have started their orchestral course in music. This course allows them to try out different instruments, learning the basics of performance and notation. Some pupils bring their own instruments and act as section leaders, taking a more challenging part and helping other pupils with tricky music. The pupils have been working hard and can already play a number of pieces as an ensemble. It is always inspiring to see pupils trying new things and a number of children have started instrumental lessons after using the school instruments.
We are always grateful for any donations of instruments, so that we can continue to run this course for our students.
