Chartwells 5 Senses Workshop for Upper Kindergarten

We use our senses in everything we do, but how often do we think about them? The children in Upper Kindergarten took part in the Sense Workshop, held by “Beyond the Kitchen” who joined Vikki and her team.

The children had to try to guess what a food was just by hearing how it sounded when people eat it; or identify a flavour only through smell.  Have you ever tricked your brain and taste buds into thinking a food is completely different, because the colour has changed?

The pupils had a wonderful time discovering how their senses work – well done Upper Kindergarten.  This was also a great way for the kitchen to engage with the children and bring some fun with food.
