On Wednesday 24 January 2024, Coopersale Hall’s Year 5, 6 and 7 girls played football against Braeside. Two teams played simultaneously, giving it their best.
The Blue Team played well. Darcey started in goal. Defenders were Defne, Imogen, Elena and Evie whilst Blaise, Poppy and Sophie played midfield. Florence did a great job of being striker. In the first half, Florence scored one goal. Sophie and Blaise both scored in the second half. At the final whistle, the final score was 3-1 to Coopersale Hall.
The Orange Team played a tough game. The first half didn’t go exactly as planned. Braeside scored 5 goals and Coopersale Hall were still to score. Although Aimee (who was goalkeeper in the first half) was a little crestfallen, she didn’t let it get the better of her and saved many more goals after that. In the second half, Coopersale Hall really got into their stride. Emilia saved quite a few shots on goal. Georgina, Simran, Abigail, Maria and Eva ran up and down the pitch for the whole match. In the final moments, Skye scored an amazing goal, making the team feel a lot more positive.
Well done to Braeside’s teams for playing competitive and fair games. Overall, we all really enjoyed the matches and played our best.
Thank you to the staff who helped and to the parents who came to support us.
