Year 3 World War 2 Assembly

Year 3 have been studying WWII at great length. They have enjoyed learning about all of the different political aspects which contributed to the war and have made a huge effort to understand why the war began and how it ended. They have taken a great interest into what happened to children during WWII and how they were evacuated. As a result, we based our class assembly on an evacuation scene and a scene from inside an Anderson shelter. The children all worked so hard on their props such as their flags, gas masks, evacuee labels and made sure their costume were appropriate to WWII. Bravo year 3! You all performed and sang so well and brought a tear to our eyes when you sang ‘The White Cliffs of Dover’.
