Celebration Assembly – 4th March 2024

Miss Crick thought it was lovely seeing so many smiling faces in the hall for our whole school Celebration Assembly, ready to commence a brand new week.

Skye, head of eco-council came to the front of the hall and told everyone about our new re-cycling initiative within school. When items within the school require a change of battery – we will be giving the old batteries to Skye in the 6Z classroom so that she can ensure that they are recycled and help sustain our environment in a positive manner.

Max in 2H shared with the school his “Man of the Match” medal for going into goal and ensuring his team were victorious. He saved many goal attempts but let none through.

Chigwell school have recently held their annual Art, Design and Technology Exhibition and we were amongst 18 different school that submitted pieces. Children who had had pieces submitted were presented with a special certificate.

Emilia in 5H and Poppy in 6Z came to the front of the hall and told everyone about the “Uniquely Me Talent Show” that they had entered over the weekend. Poppy told everyone that they had participated in the show with all money donations going towards SMIRA, a selective mutism charity. The girls sang and danced their way to the runners up medal which they were thrilled to receive.

Evelyn in 3B was thrilled to be awarded with her pen licence and all the children who had worked well and hard to receive their science, merit and “star of the week” certificates were pleased to come to the stage and be applauded by everyone. Miss Crick wished everyone a wonderful day and forthcoming week. She looked forward to see who would be awarded next week.
