We have been thrilled at the number of egg-tastic 3D pieces that the children have created, they have really egg-celled themselves!!
We talked to some of the children to see how they came up with their idea’s:
Ava – in 3B – Firstly, I enjoyed decorating my pottery egg with Spring colours and designs, Then I got a large half egg and covered it in a balloon. I put a ribbon around it and made the ribbon around it into bunny ears. Then I found just the right sticker to put onto it.
Ula – in 2N – My dad let me have one of his shoe boxes to spray paint the base green and the massive egg was done in gold. We had a really lovely time together finding the things we needed to make the fence and put the animals all around.
Aria – in 2H – We had a great time making this – the eggs we used were covered in shaving cream and then we dipped them into food colouring – it was such fun. I had a really lovely time talking to mum about what would be best and after that she let me enjoy myself and make my easter-girl fun.
Louise – in 2H – It was really liked choosing the coloured card for my egg. Once I had decided to use two different colours, I placed them onto the board and stapled them into place. I did the same with the top and I thought it was funny seeing the little chick sitting inside the ball. I thought the silver heart and the Happy Easter sign were just the right things to finish off my design.
Stanley – in RG – Enjoyed decorating his eggs. He said that mummy let him do them exactly as he liked and she couldn’t choose her favourite. They do look wonderful.
Everyone was so impressed by the wonderful work that has been put into these fabulous Easter creations. Here are some more submitted to the competition.
