Chanel in Year 7 Performs at the Palladium

Chanel in Yr7 was thrilled to have performed on the stage at the London Palladium on Sunday 10th March, 2024.  This event was held as a memorial to Bill Kenwright, an English theatre and film producer. Chanel performed as part of the Carmel Thomas Performing Arts School, they performed a song from “Joseph” on stage.  It was a wonderful event.

How long have you been performing?

I have been going to the Carmel Thomas Performing Art School for around 2 years now.  I go on a Saturday morning from 9 am to 1pm.  During this time i do many different things from singing, musical theatre, tap, ballet, drama and LaMDA.  I have recently moved up in my tap and ballet groups so my timetable has changed around and I am with different people in my classes.

How much do you enjoy doing so many artistic skills?

I really enjoy doing so many different things.  At the moment I feel that I will be doing these things for a very long time.  I think that it is wonderful to act and learn to become different characters.  There are so many other things that benefit you also like how to stand, project my voice, listen to people and it really helps with memory recall – things I think will help me as I get older in many different situations.
