Final Assembly – Spring Term 2024

Our final assembly of the term was full of many wonderful moments to share and celebrate together. Lucas in Reception Marks celebrated his swimming certificate, Charlotte in 4B delighted in finally gaining her pen license.

Everyone applauded those children that were awarded the “Star of the Week” and “Merit” certificates.  Poppy in Year 6 shared with the school the skills that they required to gain their Level 2 bikeability cycling training. Everyone had to show that they had developed skills for cycling on single-lane roads with simple junctions, moderate traffic and followed the core functions of safe and responsible cycling. The children were thrilled to gain their certificates.

We were proud to learn that the following children from year 7 would be having their creative writing published by the Young Writers Association: Obialo, Atilla, Ivy, Darcey, George, Chanel, Amelia, Ruby, Aiden and Jackson. We look forward to having a copy of this book in our library for everyone to enjoy.

The children that had been shortlisted for the recent Easter Egg Competition proudly came to the front of the hall to receive their certificates. We were also thrilled to announce that Ava in 3B had been awarded by the ISA the most creative in her age category. Well done to everyone that participated through-out the school.

Our Easter Raffle was finally drawn and everyone was delighted to receive their wonderful hampers – Leopold in RM won the beautiful pamper set and when asked what he thought his mum would enjoy the best, he replied “my mum will definitely love everything.”

The Raffle baskets were won by: Oscar in Year 6, Lily in Year 4, Catlin in Year 1, Lily in Lower Kindergarten and Robyn in Year 3.

We would like to thank FOCSH for their wonderful baskets and making them all look such a wonderful and special treat this Easter. This was a lovely way to draw our assembly to a close and Mrs Doherty thanked everyone for such a marvellous term. She also wished everyone a safe and happy Easter break and looked forward to seeing everyone next term.
