Year 6 William Morris Gallery Trip

The Year 6 children were pleased to spend the afternoon at the William Morris Gallery in Walthamstow. They walked around the galleries displaying artwork and information about various aspects of Morris’ life and even got to try and decipher a letter he had written to his mother regarding his career choices.

They did well to share information that they knew about the Industrial Revolution and how this impacted on how William Morris produced his interior design pieces.

Each child made a two tone print from their own William Morris inspired ideas and we were very impressed by how their designs came to life once they’d been pressed.

The children arrived back a little late due to heavy traffic but it was well worth it!
