Over the last couple of weeks we have been watching the lifecycle of a butterfly. Starting with tiny caterpillars, watching them grow rapidly in size to then build their cocoons/chrysalis around themselves. We have been fortunate to see the butterflies emerge with their beautiful wings. We took the butterflies outside to release them and were amazed that the children managed to hold some of them before they flew away.
