Year 2 have been learning all about the Elizabethan period in their topic lessons.
Did you know?
- Queen Elizabeth I was very clever and could speak six languages, including French and Italian.
- She sometimes threw her shoes at people when she was angry!
- Elizabeth I ate so much sugar that her teeth turned black.
In their art lessons, the children created their own versions of Queen Elizabeth I. They used dollies to make ruffles and added numerous jewels to their artwork, highlighting the queen’s wealth.
Well done, children! Mrs. Hogarth and Mrs. Burgess were very impressed with the creativity you’ve shown.
