Children’s Mental Health Week Assembly

Mrs. Stanley was delighted to speak to all the children during our celebration assembly, introducing them to Children’s Mental Health Week and its theme: Know Yourself, Grow Yourself.

She explained that the focus of the week is to understand who we are on the inside, helping us grow, feel happier, and become better equipped to handle challenges and changes in our lives.

Mrs. Stanley also discussed the wide range of emotions we can experience in a single day and how understanding our feelings can help us grow in confidence and self-awareness.

To encourage this, she set each year group a challenge. Each group was assigned a specific emotion and tasked with working together to create pictures, poems, writing extracts, or any other creative piece they chose. Mrs. Stanley would review all the submissions and award a prize for the most inventive and thoughtful work. Everyone in the hall was excited and eager to take part!

It was also wonderful to celebrate the winners of the Coopersale Hall School Allergy Safety Squad Competition. Our new allergy board in the dining hall needed names, and the winning entries were announced! Wolf in Year 4 and Ula in Year 3 were recognized for their creative contributions and were presented with a certificate and a gift from Vikki, who expressed her delight at the fantastic response.

However, there was no clear winner for the cheerful peanut character, so Vikki invited everyone to think carefully and submit more suggestions. She promised to announce the winner at our next whole school assembly.
