Year 4 enjoyed a lovely afternoon learning about different fruits from all over the world. They were shown how to cut, slice and chop fruit to make a fruit salad. They had a wonderful time eating it at the end of the lesson.
“We used 20 different types of fruit during our lesson. My favourites were kiwi, pear, pineapple and watermelon. I also tried pomegranate and pink grapefruit I did not like the pink grapefruit because it was too sour. The pomegranate was different. The most exotic fruits came from South Africa. My group put watermelon, pear, apple, banana, orange, pomegranate, lychee, passion fruit and orange juice into a bowl. The colour of the bowl turned red from the watermelon. The others groups bowl was orange from the mango. If I made my own fruit salad, I would use pear, kiwi, banana, pineapple, lychee, strawberries, watermelon and red currents and some orange juice. I really enjoyed this lesson.”
